How low can you go...

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, the Celts drop one to the lowly Nets at home. The C's cut the deficit to 6 with about 2 minutes left, but the Nets held on to beat the Celtics 104-96 at the Garden. Brook Lopez could not be stopped and led the Nets with 25 points. KG paced the home-team and led all scorers with 26 points. The other bright spot was Marquis Daniels who dropped 16 points on 8 of 9 shooting. You can say it was the refs all you want, but the C's lack of agression led to the Nets getting to the line 41 times to the C's 11 times. That is just RIDICULOUS. The Celts also struggled (to put it lightly) behind the 3-point line shooting 16%. 'Sheed led the way going 1 for 5 beyond the arc. So what happens now? Who knows. But as a fan, I only know one thing-this team, these inidividual players, need to ask themselves some serious questions. Do I want to win a championship? Do I want to go out there and give it 100% every game? Why am I here? Do some soul-searching Boston Celtics. The C's are now off until Tuesday when they travel to Detroit to face the Pistons. Tip-off is at 7:30pm. After today's loss, I had alot to say, and I knew Celtics fans would too. Here is a clip from a live UStream broadcast I did today postgame. It starts with Nick and I from NorthStationSports.com discussing the C's recent struggles, and concludes with the always fired-up and outspoken Mike aka "The Scotsman" venting some of his frustration...

Shimmy shimmy...

A little something to help take your mind off of the Celtics' recent struggles. One of the best YouTubers out there, xMuscularGandhix, put together a great Antoine Walker mix set to Ol' Dirty..

(Another) Tough loss....

The look on KG's face in the postgame video says it all. Tough night at the Garden tonight...

Meh..

JR Smith's 16 4th quarter points capped the Nuggets' 114-105 victory over the C's today in Denver. The Nuggs were up by as many as 20 at one point, and the Celts just could not hang with Denver down the stretch. Paul Pierce was obviously sluggish, whether it be from (past) injuries or just plain old being tired-he was 2 of 10 from the floor for 5 points. No-that's not a typo-he finished with 5 points. The only positive from today was that Ray continued to tear it up, leading the C's with 25 points. The Celts struggled mightily from beyond the arc, shooting an ugly .154% and also from the charity stripe with an equally ugly .542% today. Marquis Daniels was great off the bench in the losing effort, dropping in 15 points. Carmelo Anthony continued his MVP-caliber season for Denver, scoring 26 points on an array of aggressive drives, outside shots and by hitting 90% of his free-throws. The C's finish the big west-coast road trip an impressive 3-1. They now head back home for a day off before facing the Knicks on Tuesday. Tip-off at the Garden is at 7:30pm. I'll be at the game and will post some pics/video sometime late Tuesday night...

You got Rondo'd

After a great block by Perk, Rajon makes Portland's defenders swat at air during last night's 96-76 win against the Blazers. C's are off until tomorrow when they face the red-hot Nuggets in Denver. Tip-off is at 3:30pm on ABC. Got my tickets today for what should be a fun game on Tuesday night when the Knicks come to town. It will be Eddie House's "return" to the Garden, and I'm sure the fans will give him a nice ovation, we'll also see JR and Billy Walker, and it will be Nate's chance to torch his old coach. The Knicks will also have newly acquired superstar Tracy McGrady. Should be a very entertaining night...

By the hair on our chinny-chin-chin..

Celtics escape FakerTown with a 87-86 win over the Lakers tonight. Ray Allen was obviously relieved he did not get traded and had a stellar game, finishing with 24 points on 10 of 15 shooting. Celts do not have much time to rest as they now head to Portland for the 2nd of a back-to-back against the Blazers tomorrow night. Tip-off is at 10:30pm. This will be a short post tonight as I have to crash. Goodnite Celtics fans.....

Nate Robinson: 3-time dunk champion..

xMuscularGandhix with a new video of nothing but the newest Celtic's dunks:

Who the heck is Marcus Landry?

So, even though it's not official yet (waiting for NBA to approve) word is the Celtics have acquired Nate Robinson and Marcus Landry from the Knicks for Eddie House, Bill Walker and JR Giddens. 1st off, Eddie House, JR and Billy are all solid guys-dudes who work hard, come to play and don't complain. I will miss them all and wish them nothing but the best. Now of course we all know who Nate Robinson is, but who is Marcus Landry? Landry, the brother of Houston's Carl, is a 6'7" swingman from Wisconsin. He played for the Badgers in college. One sports website's scouting report called him a "solid swingman" and "good leaper who takes high-percantage shots." At 24 years old and with little NBA experience, he probably will not see alot of action for Doc this season, but who knows....

Eddie and JR to Knicks for Nate...?

Rumors are abound. One significant deal was done this evening-the Cavaliers got alot better in acquiring Antawn Jamison as part of a 3-team trade with the Wiz and Clippers. The rumor floating around Beantown at this hour is that sometime tomorrow, the C's will send Eddie House and possibly JR Giddens (according to Marc Spears) to the Knicks for Nate Robinson. Here is an interview Eddie did a short time ago. Video is courtesy of Chris Forsberg of ESPN Boston:

Back at it...

Thanks to some poor free-throw shooting by the Kings, the C's escape Arco Arena with a 95-92 win tonight. Rasheed Wallace hit some clutch foul shots down the stretch and tied with Paul Pierce for a team-high 17 points. Eddie House, who has been struggling all year, had a great game, scoring 12 points on 4 of 6 shooting from 3-point land. C's are off now until Thursday when they face the Fakers at Staples Center. Kobe Bryant missed another game tonight, sitting out LA's game vs the Warriors, but something tells me he'll be ready to go on Thursday. The C's still have not made any moves with the trade deadline coming up in less than 48 hours, but rumors have them pursuing Nate Robinson of the Knicks amongst others. (*Sorry-as of 1:20am, NBA.com does not have full-game highlights posted)

McLovin'....

Ticket, Rondo, Truth, D.Aldridge and McLovin' talk Celtics today at All-Star practice in Dallas:

Rumors...

I'd say this song perfectly describes this past week for Celtics fans.
And unfortunately, it will only get worse between now and the 18th.
"How do rumors get started? Started by the jealous people..."

Breaktime..

Ugh. Another 3rd quarter collapse, another FUGLY C's loss. This team really needs to come together as one and figure out what they want. If they want to win a championship, they will have to do better than this. That is all I will say on that. It will be interesting to see what happens over the next week. The trade deadline is the 18th, and their have been many rumors floating around. Most recently, the names of Ray Allen and Baby Davis have been very prevelent. Well, try to enjoy the All-Star festivities. Rondo will be competing in the HORSE game on Saturday night, and P-Dub in the 3-point Shootout. Here is the HORSE game from last year, which was won by Kevin Durant.....

T.A. mix...

C's are back in action tonight, facing the Hornets in New Orleans. Tip is at 8pm. In the meantime, enjoy this sweet Tony Allen mix video from my boy xMuscularGandhix over at YouTube:

Night and day...

Another Sunday, another frustrating home loss for the Celtics. This is the 2nd damn weekend in a row I've been forced to watch the opposing team's fans hollar and cheer about a victory on our home court. Sick of it. Absolutely sick of it. C's came out firing on all cylinders-Marquis Daniels looking like he hadn't missed a beat. Then, the 3rd quarter happened. The meltdown actually started towards the end of the 1st half, but the 3rd quarter killed us. The Magic outscored the C's 36-11. Magic win today 96-89. Other than Quisy, the C's bench struggled. 'Sheed, for example, was 1-6 today. You can see the lack of confidence and the total frustration in Pierce and KG's faces during this clip filmed by Chris Forsberg. C's are off now until Wed. when they face the Hornets in New Orleans. My confidence in this team is not high right now. Let's hope they get back to where we all know they can be...

The Truth Mix...

Celtics are back in action tonight vs the Nets at 7:30pm. I won't be at the Garden this evening, but will be on Sunday. Should be a good game as we get a rematch w/Orlando. And we may also get both P-Dub and Marquis Daniels back too. Here is a stellar Paul Pierce video from MuscularGandhi over at YouTube. Have a good weekend Celtics fans:

T.A. to the rescue...

Tony Allen talks about his defense and getting some extra playing-time last night after the C's 99-88 victory over the Wiz in D.C. Watch for an early cameo by Clifford Ray. Kudos to anyone who can figure out what it is Tony reaches into his bag and gives him. My guess is gum. Thanks to HrVoje1313 over at YouTube for the great clips. He has alot of cool Tony Allen videos you can check out here: www.YouTube.com/user/Hrvoje1313

Left it all out on the floor...

I left it all out on the floor today. Lakers 90 Celtics 89. I called-in to the "CelticsLateNightShow" on blog talk radio after the game. My little rant starts at about 63 minutes in. C's are back at it tomorrow night vs the Wiz in Washington. Tip-off is at 7pm...
