Celtics-Cavs will start Saturday night...

It's official-the Celtics round 2 opponent will be the Cleveland Cavaliers. Games 1 and 2 will be played in Cleveland on Saturday and Monday nights, respectively. The NBA will announce the start times sometime tomorrow. This should be alot of fun, and I cannot wait to be at the Garden for Games 4 and 5. The Cavaliers and Celtics split the regular season series 2-2, with the C's winning on Opening Night in Cleveland and at the Garden in April. By the time Saturday rolls around, we will know everything and more about the Cavs as the media will be hyping this up big-time. Glen Davis is one guy who we will need to play well against the Cavs. Let's hope he continues his great play in the 2nd round. Here is an interview Chris Forsberg taped in the locker room w/Baby after tonight's win:

Buh-bye...

C's put away the Heat tonight, 96-86, and eliminate them in the process. C's now await the winner of the Cavs-Bulls series for round 2. Cavs are up 63-62 on the Bulls with about 6 minutes left in the 3rd. If the Cavs can hang on, Game 1 of the series would be Saturday in Cleveland. For now, enjoy Big Baby gettin' down..

Live postgame with KWAPT, Aztec Gino and Sinnet81....

What a thrilling win for the Celtics and their fans tonight. Paul Pierce hits a jumper with no time left on the clock to beat the Heat 100-98. I know that if you're like me, you were jumping up and down, screaming and texting everyone you know! I felt it would be a great night for a live postgame show on UStream. I was able to catch up with Aztec Gino who was in Miami tonight at the game. We also spoke with Sinnet81, who reps the Celtics hard down in VA. Celts will try to complete the sweep Sunday at 1pm in Miami:

Smoked..

What a night at the Garden. Brandon of Gino's Jungle.com and myself got there early tonight to watch warm-ups. There was definitely a "buzz" in the air, and also some tension. It was obvious even during pregame warm-ups that security would be tighter, and deeper than usual. But believe it or not, 2 of the Miami players, Michael Beasley and Jermaine O'Neal, were rather friendly w/Celtics fans before the game. Beasley gave his shooting shirt to a young boy in the crowd, and O'Neal held court with about 15 or 20 fans, joking around and signing alot of autographs. But as the game grew closer, things intensified. Brandon and I were warned once by security for hanging over the railing a bit and yelling at the Heat as they entered the arena before tip-off. I also had a run-in with a goofy looking guy in a DWade jersey. The crowd did get on Q quite a bit, but we never got a good chant going for him. Oh well, we kicked their butts on the court-that's all that matters.

"..I got their backs."

The Big Ticket talks about the suspension, standing up for his teammates (and his coach) and practicing with the 2nd unit. As always, the video is courtesy of the best Celtics reporter out there, Chris Forsberg of ESPNBoston.com. Also, there are some great articles out on the web right now about how Quentin Richardson has become quite the enemy here in Boston. My personal favorite of the bunch, from RedsArmy, can be found here. And also check out LOSCY's , which has some great pics, and last but not least, Gino's Jungle also has a good one. As I've already mentioned on Twitter about 20 zillion times, (sorry but I'm excited) I'll be sitting right above the Heat's tunnel tomorrow night, and I plan on really letting them hear it.

Truth and Ticket at today's practice....

The Truth and the Big Ticket are asked about last night's incident in the 4th quarter involving Quentin Richardson. Filmed at today's practice in Waltham. Video courtesy of ESPNBoston's Chris Forsberg:

Fired up...

Celts win tonight 86-75 at a fired-up TD Garden. Just got home from the game, and what a game it was. Paul Pierce asked for the crowd to get into it, and they did, in turn firing up the C's. Towards the end of the 1st half, the C's were looking bad-getting out-rebounded, shooting the ball terribly and turning it over. Then, Tony Allen and Big Baby along with P-Dub took this game over. KG was ejected for throwing a couple of elbows during a scuffle with Quentin Richardson and Miami's bench. This could prove costly, as many in the media are saying a suspension is imminent. But for now, the C's are up 1-0 on the Heat, and 1 game closer to Banner 18. I'd like to post much more, but I have to get up for work in about 5 hours. Here is some video courtesy of ESPN's Chris Forsberg and nbacardnet (YouTube). Goodnite Celtics fans.....

Backcourt violation..

Chicago's backcourt kills us tonight as Rose and Heinrich combine for 69 points to lead the Bulls over the Celtics 101-93. Paul Pierce played very well, leading the C's with 28. The loss really means nothing for the C's, however it does keep the Bulls' playoff hopes alive. The C's now come back home to wrap-up the regular season against the Bucks. It will be fan appreciation night at the Garden. Last year, each player on the C's gave out a pair of autographed kicks to a randomly selected fan. Hopefully they do something just as cool tomorrow night. Not sure yet, but I hope to try and be there. Tip-off will be at 8pm...

Celtics Late-Night Show "Fan Appreciation" edition...

The guys over at Celtics Late-Night Show have asked me to be a guest-host this Thursday night. They will be presenting a "fan appreciation" show to coincide with Fan Appreciation night which goes down on Wednesday at the Garden. Special-guest will be the man know as "Aztec Gino." Aztec (pictured above at Fenway last season) has been a staple at the Celtics' games the last few years, and has quickly turned into a fan favorite. We will also be discussing what a tumultuous year it's been for us Celtics fans, the boos, 'Sheed's antics, and much, much more. The show starts at 8pm and won't end until we get each and every fan on that calls-in. You can listen to the show (and listen to past shows) here: www.celticslatenightshow.com

Chippy....

Things get a little chippy in Milwaukee tonight as the C's beat the Bucks 105-90. Kurt Thomas threw down Glen Davis and P-Dub got into a mild scrape with Jerry Stackhouse in the 4th quarter tonight. Bucks coach Scott Skiles was ejected after an animated tirade towards one of the referees. This was easily the most fired up we've seen the Celts in a while. Thank God. Pierce led all scorers with 24, but more importantly the C's kept the turnovers in single-digits at 9. Rondo had some highlight reel dishes and drives as ususal, and finished with a double-double of 15 and 10. The C's now travel to Chicago where they will have a couple days off before facing the Bulls on Tuesday. Tip-off on Tuesday night is at 8pm. Here is some postgame locker room video courtesy of Chris Forsberg of ESPNBoston. Listen closely for Nate Robinson hooting and hollering in the background...

KWAPT Live on Ustream tomorrow.....

So at the end of the 4th, the Celts are down 75-54 to the Wiz. I had a bad feeling about this game. I knew the Wiz would be coming in with nothing to lose and revenge to gain. Just a frustrating, ugly night at the Garden. I'm so glad I did not go tonight. I pray that my sister gave her tickets to friends. I am not going to do a postgame summary. If by some miracle, the Celts come back and win, great. But I don't think so. They have looked flat on many occassions this season, but this one takes the cake. I'm mainly writing this post to announce that I'm going to do a live UStream broadcast tomorrow. This will be a chance for fans/friends/colleagues to vent, discuss the upcoming playoffs and look ahead to what the future may hold for our C's. I will be taking your calls live, and if you have a webcam, you can also co-host with me. The show will start at 12pm EST and can be viewed here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/kwapt .
In order to chat/ask questions, you will need a UStream account, which is very easy (and free) to do over at UStream's site. The last show I did was great and had excellent participation. I really hope you all will join me tomorrow at 12pm Eastern.

Finster...

Michael Finley scores 11 of his 14 points in the 4th quarter to propel the C's over the Raps 115-104 in Toronto tonight. Paul Pierce scored 20 and Rondo had another great stat line: 21 points, 7 assists, 5 boards, a steal and a block. Ticket and Ray put in 19 and 18 respectively. This looked like another game that the C's might let slip away, as they turned the ball over 14 times, but they managed to hold on tonight. Michael Finley buried 4 of the 5 three-pointers he shot. The Raps were without Chris Bosh and Hedo Turkoglu, the latter took an inadvertant head-butt from Tony Allen and had to be taken to the hospital. Sonny Weems (yeah, I know.. who?) led the Raptors with 21. The Celtics now are off until Friday when they face the Wizards at home. Tip-off is at 7:30pm for what will be the 2nd to last home-game of the year.

Here's some nostalgia for ya':

Intense..

Got back from an intense game at the Garden a short time ago. This one was thrilling, intense and exhausting. C's pull it out though, behind Ray Allen's clutch shooting, 117-113 over Lebron and the Cavs today. I hope to post more of my thoughts on this game later. For now, here is Ray after the game courtesy of Chris Forsberg. Good luck to the Sox tonight!

Tired..

I'm tired of these press conferences. It pains me to watch Ticket and P-Dub like this. The Celtics have much better ball in them then they are showing. I'm not quite sure what the answer is. I know we got killed on the boards tonight and that the Rockets seemed to get layups/dunks too easy. But their is much more to it than that in my eyes. This team is too good and too talented to be losing like this. I hope my dudes will find the answer before the playoffs. Oh yeah, there was a game tonight also. Brooks, Scola and Buddinger combine for 81 points and the C's lose to the Rockets 119-114 in OT. Celts are now off until Sunday when they face the Cavs. Tip-off is at 1pm. Did I mention I'm tired of leaving the Garden feeling like I got kicked in the gut?
