Sick joke?

Celtics.com front page @9:43pm tonight:

The Celtics Escape Charlotte With The Win
In a back-and-forth game on Tuesday night, the Celtics squeaked out of Charlotte with a 110-109 victory. Paul Pierce led the team with XX points and Ray Allen chipped with XX. Down by double-digits in the third quarter, the Celts fought back with strong rebounding and timely shooting in overtime to come out victorious.

The Celtics come back home on Wednesday to square up against the Houston Rockets, a team they have beaten three straight times. Game time is set for 7:30 EST.

WTF...?

By the way, the actual final score: Bobcats 114 Celtics 106. Let's hope some home-cooking gets the Celtics back on the right track tomorrow. Rockets/C's @7:30pm. I'm tempted to start pointing fingers and get angry like just about every other local Celts blogger right now, but I'm not gonna do it-yet. Goodnite C's fans......

53-47 Bobcats

Bobcats up by 6 at halftime. The Celts are led by Ray Allen with 13. Gabe Pruitt and Scal have filled the spots where we would normally see T.A. Danny Ainge is out in Orem, Utah watching the D-League showcase. When asked by NBA TV about the Marbury situation, Ainge said he "can't and won't" comment on it. Danny then went on to bust Gary Payton's chops about the pink shirt he on. Danny then was asked about Rondo's development, to which he said "he's not at the level of one of the great ones yet." He also said when asked if he had any concerns about this year's Celtics "not yet."

Tony Allen out...

T.A. is going to be out for at least tonight. Tony suffered an ankle injury in Sunday night's loss to the Knicks. He says he continued playing after he initially hurt it, and now wishes he would've stayed out of the game. Doc was quoted as saying Scal and Gabe Pruitt would get more minutes. Gabe has done well the last few times he played. He'll get a chance to try and prove that he can be consistent now. Looks like T.A. may also miss Wednesday's game vs the Rockets @ the Garden. Tip-off tonight in Charlotte is 7pm...

'Toine pinched for DUI

Old friend Antoine Walker was arrested in Miami Beach early this morning for D.U.I.
Police alleged he was driving his black Mercedes-Benz with the lights off. He was being held on $1,000 bail. The Celtics are off tonight. They face the Bobcats in Charlotte tomorrow night at 7pm. The general feeling I get from fans/websites is that people are panicking. I obviously am not happy with the C's performance lately, but I do have faith that they will pull it together. It's called Celtic Pride...

Oh boy...

Celts fall 100-88 to the Knicks tonight in NYC. Two Knicks, Wilson Chandler and Al Harrington both went for 30+. Pierce led the C's with 31. Next up, Charlotte on Tuesday night, then back home to face the Houston Rockets on Wednesday. Friday brings the biggest game since the Xmas showdown vs the Lakers-Lebron James and the Cavs in Cleveland, where they have yet to lose. Goodnight Celtics fans......

Somebody stop me

Al Harrington is killing us off the bench. He has 20 points in 13 minutes at the half. Celtics up 53-50 at halftime. Of note: D'Antoni is having KG triple-teamed anytime he touches the ball...

C'a in NYC

Celtics and Knicks at MSG tonight. Tip-off @6pm. There is no love lost between these two teams, so expect a gritty, hard-fought battle that will be physical. The Celtics have won 8 in a row against the Knicks, and 6 in a row at Madison Square Garden. The Celtics are all healthy-the Knicks report Eddie Curry and Danillo Galinari as out. Wonder if Stephon will make an appearance.....
