Via ESPNBoston's Chris Forsberg's Twitter page: Celtics have signed 25 year-old guard Von Wafer to a one-year deal. Wafer last played in the NBA for the Rockets during the 2008-09 season. He spent last year w/Greek powerhouse Olympiakos. I've always liked Wafer, as he is fast, athletic, gets points in bunches off the bench, and hell, he has a great name.

Don't wear a Lebron jersey to an Indian's game..
I am so exhausted from working overnight last night, but had to post/link to this. Some idiot thought it would be cool to wear a Lebron James Miami Heat jersey to a Cleveland Indians home game. This is awesome video of what happened. Watch Part 1, as all the fans in this moron's row get up & walk away (awesome), and then part 2 as the Cleveland cops make him leave for his own safety. (even awesomer). Huge props to "iwasawitness72810" for the video. Hit up his/her YouTube channel here: IWasAWitness72810

Auction of awesomeness...
Want a pair of OG Air Jordans signed by His Airness himself? Or how about a KG Team USA or rookie autographed jersey? Well, if you've got some cash and will be around on August 13th, you'll get your chance. Grey Flannel auctions are hosting this year's annual Basketball Hall of Fame auction in Springfield. The stuff up for bid this year is absolutely amazing. I could drool over these items all day. Highlighting this year's auction is a Wilt Chamberlain game-used Philadelphia 76er's jersey from 1966. I mean this auction has everything. Championship rings, an actual Chicago Bulls championship banner, one of Michael Jordan's checks, and the list goes on. If you are a serious NBA fan, or a fiend for throwback jerseys/kicks and the likes, then you must take a look at this stuff. You can see all the items here: NBA HOF auction
The auction goes down on 8/13/2010. All the details are on the site.

Q6 confirmed and Team USA scrimmage tonight..
As expected, Marquis Daniels will remain with the Celtics for at least 1 more season. Quisy's agent Mark Bartelstein secured a 1-year deal worth a reported $2.5 million for Marquis. I for one am very excited, as I believe Daniels can be a serious contributor for the Celtics. Daniels Tweeted to his fans that he was happy to be back in green for another season.
If you need to quench your thirst for hoops tonight, you can watch Rondo and Team USA in action. They will play their white/blue scrimmage tonight in Vegas. Tip-off is at 10pm EST on ESPN2. It should be fun to see Rondo in action with Durant, Rudy Gay, and company.

Quis returning...??
Nothing has been announced by the Celtics yet, but numerous media outlets are reporting that guard Marquis Daniels will resign w/the Boston Celtics for the 2010-11 season. I am a big Lambo6 fan and hope this is true. As soon as it's made official, I'll post more...

The Tony Allen era is over in Boston...
After 6 up & down seasons with the Celtics, Tony Allen has moved on to play w/Memphis. Reports started funneling in last night, and it was confirmed this morning. Allen's 3-year deal w/the Grizz will be worth just under $10 million according to multiple media outlets. Here are some of T.A.'s most memorable moments with the Celtics courtesy of YouTube. Thanks for everything Gucci-we'll miss you...

C's get 1st Summer League win...
Behind Matt Janning's 20 points and 9 boards, the Celtics beat the Bobcats today 92-71 in the Orlando Summer League. I got to peep bits and pieces of the former Northeastern standout's impressive display. Janning was not drafted in June's NBA Draft, but was invited to participate in Summer League. Here are some highlights from today, including a Janning dunk, and a cameo from Doc Rivers postgame. Videos are courtesy of NBA.com and Chris Forsberg, respectively:

Great week for the Rivers family..
So what a great week for the Rivers family: Doc Rivers announces he will return to the Celtics for another run at Banner 18, and his son Austin breaks the FIBA under-18 scoring record. Austin broke Calbert Cheaney's (Google him youngsters) record of 34 pts by shooting 9 of 12 from beyond the arc to finish with 35 against Canada. Here is a highlight reel of Austin. And I tell ya', this kid has a sweet stroke-and he can get above the rim with the best of them:
