Eddie will be back, Leon won't...

Eddie House exercised his 2009-10 player option today. He will stay with the Celtics this season and make a little over $2 million to do so. In sadder news, the Celtics did not make an offer to Leon Powe, which is obviously a business decision based on Powe's 2nd major ACL injury. He suffered a similar injury while at California University. Leon has been through quite a bit already and will come back to play again-whether it's with the Celts or someone else, he will be back (IMO). In other Celtics news, Gary Tanguay of Comcast Sports Net reported tonight that Rasheed Wallace will be in town soon to check out Boston and see what the city has to offer basketball and otherwise. 'Sheed is not a young buck anymore, but he still has consistently averaged just under 13 PPG and shot the three at around .350 the last 3 seasons...

Charlie V is free...

The Milwaukee Bucks did not make an offer to Charlie V today. That means the 6'-11" F/C from Queens, NYC is an unrestricted free agent. Do what I have been doing-go to his Twitter page: www.Twitter.com/CV31 and let him know we would love to have him in Boston! DO IT-NOW!

If you don't have "Site Counter" installed at your blog(s), it's worth the 5 minutes it takes to set-up. It basically tells you how many people have visited your site, daily, weekly, etc. And, it's totally free. I have noticed over the last week or two alot more visitors to my site. The visitors aren't commenting, which is too bad, as I really appreciate any/all feedback, but that's ok. Some may get here via RedsArmy, as I comment over there under KobeWearsAPurpleThong, and if you click my screename, it will generally link you here. I add different cool links that I find to my screename too sometimes. So, in closing, lol, whoever you are, hope you enjoy my site and feel free to comment on it. Good, bad or indifferent-it's all welcome. And if you are a C's fan and haven't checked out RedsArmy.com, it's worth a look...

Lester Hudson highlight video via YouTube...

The newest Boston Celtic.....

So of course I had to Google Lester Hudson. What I found was amazing. In just his 3rd collegiate game, he had a quadruple-double. Click the link below for more from ESPNU.com

Will he or won't he...?

Eddie House has 7 days from today to decide whether or not he will exercise his player option for $2.86 million. He can decide to stay with Boston for one more year, or take his chances on the open market. He has until next Tuesday, June 30th to decide. I personally think he will exercise the option, take the 2 million and some change, and try and have a great season. Then, his agent Mark Bartelstein will try and get him a new deal next year. Eddie started off slow last season, but we all know he finished up absolutely torrid and broke the franchise record for 3 pt percentage in a single season with .444 for the year. I'd like to see Eddie stick around, unless another equally good, or better shooter became available. The other and more prominent story today, ESPN reported that the Celtics offered the Pistons Rondo and SugarRay for Rip, Tayshaun and Rodney Stuckey. Danny Ainge said if a deal is made, it will not be because the Celtics don't like one of their present players, it will be "to get better." That was probably in reference to the media's recent reports that Rondo has a bad attitude and so on. Here are just some of Eddie House's best performances as a Celtic. Will Danny Ainge take Tyrese if he's available...???

Draft Preview: Tyrese Rice - For more funny videos, click here

Who is Emir Preldzic...?

Don't feel bad-I don't know either. But a few websites such as DraftExpress and NBADraft.net seem to think he is coming to Boston via the Celtics 1st pick (2nd round) on Thursday night. He is a 6-9 guard/forward from Slovenia who most have never heard of. I personally would love to see the C's pickup Tyrese Rice if he is still around. Ty would bring some instant offense off the bench, and being a BC guy, would be an instant crowd favorite. Here is some info about Emir Preldzic courtesy of NBADraft.net...

55 - Emir Preldzic-Slovenia
Birthday: 6/9/87
NBA Position: SG/SF
Class: International Ht: 6-8 Wt: 220
Team: Fenerbahce Ulker
Hometown: Ljubljana, Slovenia

Stevan Petrovic - 1/25/2008
Strengths: Preldzic possesses good shooting touch and a nice feel for the game ... Very long and fundamentally skilled young player ... He can hit 3 point shots as well as mid-range jumpers with accuracy (good spot-up shooter) ... His shooting touch and mechanics are fluid. Emir can handle the ball in the open court and be a point forward when needed or push the ball in the fast-break; He can also drive the ball well and has sufficient ball handling skills ... He reads the defense and defenders well and recognizes when to drive to the basket and when to pull up for the jump-shot ... He shows good body control while driving to the basket ... Showing some slashing ability. A team player who sees the court well and knows how to make the right pass ... His length and quick reflexes helps him to be active on the boards (anticipates where the ball is going to land well). Moves well laterally and has quick feet.

Weaknesses: A tweener. His lack of a true position hurts his chances ... Very skinny player for his size ... Lack of both upper and lower body strength really hurts him offensively and defensively too ... Mediocre athletic ability at his best ... Doesnt like contact or to bang under the basket for position, which also hurts his ability to post up. His frame is average and may be a guy that loses mobility with added weight ... Has to become a more consistent shooter Offensively he must work on his inside game and find his go-to move.

Aran Smith - 10/13/2006
Strengths: European forward with solid athleticism and scoring ability Scores well especially around the basket Has excellent size for the small forward position A very good rebounder. Uses his athleticism and great anticipation to position himself for rebounds Plays with a high level of intensity Shows a good deal of potential if he can continue to improve upon his offensive skills

Weaknesses: Raw skill wise. Still lacks a great feel for the game. Needs to get stronger physically His vision and passing ability are average Needs to improve upon his range

Notes: Born in Bosnia but grew up in Slovenia and a Slovenian citizen. Had his coming out party at the 2006 U20 Euro Championships leading Slovenia to 3rd place (Bronze) finish averaging 20.3 ppg (2nd overall).

Look at all these rumors...

What's up Celtics fans...? At this time last year, we were celebrating Banner17. Now it seems like all that I keep hearing is rumors about possible trades. It's nothing new-this is typical of the NBA right after the Finals and right before the draft. I'm sure you're all hearing the same stuff I am: Rondo and Ray to Phoenix for A'mare, Rondo to Memphis for the #2 overall, and then yesterday some whispers about Perk being moved. Thank God they are all just rumors-hopefully...

Tools..

Seems Angelenos now riot for Game 4 victories-not just NBA Championships. If they will terrorize innocent people like this for Game 4, I wonder what they'll do if the Fakers win it all. I guess they are still working out the frustration of the Game 6 ass-whooping the Celtics handed them last summer..

Live blogging with RedsArmy.com

What's up NBA fans..? I am a huge fan of RedsArmy.com. They are the best Celtics website in the world in my opinion. Tonight they had a live "call-in" show that I had a chance to participate in. I was at the Sox-Yankees game, so I only had a few minutes on the air, but nonetheless it was great. John and Chuck are great guys and know their hoops. Here is the entire live blog. I am the 1st caller "JB". Enjoy...
