Here is one man's musical tribute to the Celtics. He recorded it shortly after last night's Celts-Lakers game. Listen closely to hear a sour Laker fan off camera. Now I know this was just one regular-season win, but you gotta admit, it was enjoyable. Enjoy this too:
Paul Pierce had a phenomenal game, scoring 32 points on 11 of 18 shooting to lead the Celtics to a 109-96 win over the Lakers Fakers in L.A. today. The Big Ticket and Ray were both also huge: KG puts in 18 and grabs 13 boards and SugarRay goes for 21 with 3 three-pointers. He now needs 13 to tie the all-time record. Rondo started off slow, but had an amazing 15 assists in the 2nd half alone for a total of 16. Unreal.
Glen Davis was simply awesome off the bench, chipping in 13 points-alot of them on sheer will and brute strength. Nate Robinson also found a groove and hit some huge baskets. He had 11 points and also put in 3 from downtown. The C's won the key battle- on the boards- something they couldn't do in last year's Game 7 of the Finals, 43-30. Kobe Bryant led all-scorers with 41 points. Oh, and he also had 0 assists. Zero.
Now of course this is only a regular-season game, but we all know just how big a win this is for the C's psyche. It's pretty obvious that as of today, this Celtics team is the best in the NBA-bar none. Not even the defending champs can stop a healthy Boston Celtics squad right now.
C's now have a day off before wrapping up this West Coast swing in Sacramento on Tuesday. Tip-off vs the Kings is at 10:00pm EST. Be sure to check out Chuck's recap over at RedsArmy also. (As always, postgame video is courtesy of Chris Forsberg)
In a last-minute twist, the Celtics announced about an hour before gametime that Kendrick Perkins would return to the line-up tonight. I unfortunately was not in attendance, but even watching it from home was a thrill to see #43 step back on the Garden parquet.
The game was an afterthought, as the C's destroyed the Cavs 112-95. It was the first time Boston's starting five was together on the floor since Game 6 of last year's NBA Finals. Perk looked great in his return, finishing with 7 points, 6 boards & 3 assists in 17 minutes. Paul Pierce led all-scorers with an amazing 24 points in just 23 minutes. Nate and Baby chipped in 11 and Von Wafer chipped in 10 points for the bench.
Semih Erden had a solid game as the starting center, pulling down 8 boards and recording 2 blocks
C's now will head out west for a big road-trip. They'll face the Blazers, Suns, Kings and for the first time since last year's Game 7 loss, the Lakers. Tip-off on Wed. vs Portland is at 10:30pm EST.

C's fall to the Wiz in Washington tonight 85-83. It snaps the Celts 5-game win streak. The Celtics came out of the gates on fire, finishing the 1st quarter with 35 points. But the C's were not so hot in the 2nd half, specifically the 4th quarter where they shot 5 of 23 for a season-low 11 points. Rashard Lewis led all-scorers with 18 points, and KG led the C's with 17.
This was the 2nd of a back-to-back for both teams, and the C's legs just got a bit too tired late in the game from what I saw. I have to give alot of credit to Semih Erden-he started in place of an injured Shaq and had 6 points & 11 boards against a young, talented Wizards front line.
C's now have a much-deserved 2 days off before facing the Cavs at home on Tuesday. Tip-off is at 7:30pm. Then, the C's embark on what will surely be a challenging road-trip. They travel out west to face the Fakers, Blazers, Kings and Suns.
Celts beat the Pistons 86-82 tonight at the Garden. It's way past my bedtime, so tonight, we'll let the pictures do the talking. For a full recap, check out my colleague Chuck's on RedsArmy.com. C's are off until Friday when they face the Bobcats at home. Tip-off is at 7:30pm.

It's only fitting that a Kevin Garnett steal seals the deal tonight at the Garden. Garnett had a great game is his return, posting numbers of 19 points, 8 boards & 2 steals in the C's exciting 109-106 win over the Magic.
Orlando came out gunning as Ryan Anderson buried 4 three-pointers in the first-half, but the C's and Ray also shot the three-ball well in the 2nd half, and behind clutch play from Ray and Paul sealed the deal. My colleague Chuck has a recap as well as a link to the complete box score on RedsArmy.com, so be sure to check it out.
The Celts are off tomorrow and I'll be at the Garden on Wednesday when they face the Pistons. Tip-off will be at 7:30pm.
Enjoy a new video from Muscular Ghandi. It's called "I'm Still Here" and features Paul Pierce's 2010-11 highlights. The muscular one notes in the videos details that Pierce "came into camp in the best shape he's been since Antoine left." I have to agree. The track is "Troublemakers" by Ghostface feat. Meth, Chef & Redman.
Shaq drops 23 points in 35 minutes as the C's beat the Bobcats 99-94 tonight at the Garden. His 35 minutes played were the most he's logged since April of 2009.

Longggg day. Between the blizzard, work and the game directly after, I'm spent. Just in from the Garden where the C's win 119-95 over the Kings behind Paul Pierce's 25 points. Check out my colleague Chuck's recap over @ Red'sArmy.com.
Here's some postgame video of Doc courtesy of Chris Forsberg:
C's fall at home to Houston tonight, 108-102. A complete recap from my colleague John, and link to the boxscore is availableover at RedsArmy.com.
C's will pick themselves up and try it again Wed. night against the Kings. If this next blizzard doesn't interfere, tip-off will be at 7:30pm. I'll be there and tweeting live from the game.
And he did. Luke Harangody may as well have been fired out of a cannon tonight. He was on from the minute he hit the floor-scoring, grabbing rebounds and blocking shots. His career-high 17 points helped the C's to an easy 122-102 victory over the Raptors at the Garden tonight.
Harangody, who has seen increased minutes due to the KG injury, is a guy that Doc has liked due to the energy he brings. And he really brought it tonight. He hustled his way to 11 boards and also had 2 blocks.
Celts had the pedal to the metal from jumpstreet tonight, perhaps energized by the pregame news that I reported over at RedsArmy just before tip-off. Doc announced that Perk would return to practice next week, and that Kevin Garnett should be back in the starting-lineup by Monday or Wednesday.
Paul Pierce led the C's tonight with 20 points. Celtics will now fly to Chicago where they will face the Bulls tomorrow for the 2nd half of a back-to-back. Tip-off is at 8pm. (video courtesy of Chris Forsberg)
Rajon Rondo and the Celtics beat the Spurs in a game that lived-up to all the hype tonight. Final at the Garden: 105-103.
Rajon finished with an incredible stat-line. A triple-double night: 22 assists, 12 points, 10 rebounds & 6 steals. Ray Allen was also huge. He put in 31 points on 13 of 16 shooting. Ray, who is usually automatic at the line, missed 2 huge free-throws with 7 seconds left, but Paul Pierce blocked Manu Ginobili's potential game-tying shot to lock-up the win.
Glen Davis was also big tonight. He hit many big shots and tallied 23 for the game.
C's are now off until Friday when they face the Raptors at the Garden. Tip-off is at 7:30pm.
For more stats, analysis and a link to tonight's boxscore, check out Chuck's recap at Red'sArmy.com.
Tough night tonight, but a win is a win. The Truth was true, Ray was butter, and the C's defense stepped-up when needed. I'm spent folks, so if you'd like to see a full recap, including links to the box score, my colleague Chuck's is up over at RedsArmy.
C's now get a much-needed day off before facing the Spurs in a big game on Wednesday. Tip-off at the Garden is set for 7:30pm. (video courtesy of Chris Forsberg)
C's struggled early on in Toronto, but behind Paul Pierce's 30 points, and an explosive 4th quarter, the Celts outlast the Raptors 93-79 this evening. Pierce was almost unstoppable tonight. Scoring on a mixture of jumpers, 3-pointers, and dunks-1 of them a ferocious one-handed throwdown. Looked like he rolled an ankle on the 2nd dunk, and he left the game afterwards late in the 4th. Hopefully it's nothing serious. P-Dub finished with an amazing 30 points, 7 boards, 4 assists, 7 of 8 from the line, 10 of 15 from the field & 3 of 3 from Downtown.
Rajon Rondo had 4 points and 8 assists in his first game back from the ankle-injury that sidelined him for 8 games. Glen Davis had a career-high 8 assists to go with 15 points and 11 boards. Ray Allen was again a key contributor, dropping 23 points on 10 of 18 shooting with 3 three-pointers.
Celts now fly back to Boston where they will face Kevin Love and the TWolves tomorrow night. Tip-off at the Garden will be at 7:30pm. I'll be at the game and should have some pics/video/thoughts here late tomorrow night.
