It's official: Shaq is a Celtic...

Boston Celtics today announced the signing of 15-time NBA All-Star and 4-time NBA Champion Shaquille O'Neal. Earlier in the day, some info started to surface that talks may have broken down, but it's a done deal. Here is the official press-release from the Boston Celtics: Shaq's a Celtic. This now means the Celtics will have 3 legitimate centers on their squad-something they have not had the last few seasons. Jermaine O'Neal and Shaq as your back-up bigs? Awesome. Since we all know Shaq's favorite number, 33, is out of the question, and Paul Pierce has 34, "The Diesel" will rock #36 this season for the C's. So the question on most Celtics fans' minds is; at 38, can Shaq still make a difference..? I believe he can. We all know that rebounding was a huge issue for the C's last year. He will certainly help out in that category, as well as clogging-up the middle, blocking shots and getting other teams' big-men in foul trouble. And what alot of folks forget about Shaquille is that he is also a very skilled passer for a big-man. Here are Shaq's career stats courtesy of ESPN.com: Shaq career totals.

And finally, some highlights from Shaq during the 2009-10 season courtesy of You Tube's 555Erik555:
