Celtics beat Fakers in L.A.

Over and out.
Paul Pierce had a phenomenal game, scoring 32 points on 11 of 18 shooting to lead the Celtics to a 109-96 win over the Lakers Fakers in L.A. today. The Big Ticket and Ray were both also huge: KG puts in 18 and grabs 13 boards and SugarRay goes for 21 with 3 three-pointers. He now needs 13 to tie the all-time record. Rondo started off slow, but had an amazing 15 assists in the 2nd half alone for a total of 16. Unreal.

Glen Davis was simply awesome off the bench, chipping in 13 points-alot of them on sheer will and brute strength. Nate Robinson also found a groove and hit some huge baskets. He had 11 points and also put in 3 from downtown. The C's won the key battle- on the boards- something they couldn't do in last year's Game 7 of the Finals, 43-30. Kobe Bryant led all-scorers with 41 points. Oh, and he also had 0 assists. Zero.

Now of course this is only a regular-season game, but we all know just how big a win this is for the C's psyche. It's pretty obvious that as of today, this Celtics team is the best in the NBA-bar none. Not even the defending champs can stop a healthy Boston Celtics squad right now.

C's now have a day off before wrapping up this West Coast swing in Sacramento on Tuesday. Tip-off vs the Kings is at 10:00pm EST. Be sure to check out Chuck's recap over at RedsArmy also.

  1. Just a quick question. I know you are a contributor to Red's Army and read the troll posts...If the weather is so damn special in LA why are their fans always on Red's Army 24/7?

  2. I'm not sure how many are actually from Cali, but yeah-it's really bad. We usually ban them after a while, but they change IP addresses and come back. Just really miserable folks w/alot of free time.
