1-Love....

Cavs withstand a furious 1st half by the C's tonight to win 101-93. It looked the Celtics were going to really put it to the Cavs as they came out in attack-mode early on in this one. But Mo Williams and Lebron James put together a powerful punch of their own in the 3rd and 4th quarters to close this one out. The Cavs also were successful at getting the C's in foul-trouble. Rondo was absolutely magnificent, but some costly turnovers, mediocre play from the 2nd-unit and poor-shooting cost us a win tonight. Rajon finished with 27 pts, 12 assists and 6 boards. If you go over to Yahoo's NBA page and go through these pics, you'll see that Rondo had 3 or 4 guys around him all night-kid is amazing. Lebron led the Cavs with 35 points, but the real Celtic-killer was Mo Williams who scored 14 points in a key 3rd quarter run. He finished with 20.

I was getting pretty upset tonight with the way the TNT analysts and James himself were constantly going on about his injured arm. James was quoted as saying that the Cavs are a "no-excuse" team, but he sure loves to be dramatic-i.e. holding his elbow, screaming at the refs for calls. And Reggie Miller kept going on and on about "The King" all night. I like Lebron as a person less and less each day. Great player? No doubt, but kind of a baby sometimes. The C's now have a day off to regroup until facing the Cavs for Game 2 on Monday night. Tip-off is at 8pm.
