Same old story...
Another loss for the C's on the road tonight, which makes Sunday's showdown with L.A. even more pivotal in my eyes. The C's lose to Atlanta tonight, 100-91. Paul Pierce was brilliant, scoring 35, but unfortunately, he was the lone bright spot. The C's turned the ball over 16 times, gave up 42 points in the paint and another 29 in fastbreak points. More importantly, the offense was abyssmal. Jamal Crawford single-handedly outscored our bench 28-18. Rondo never really got going either, finshing with a subpar 6 points and 8 dishes on 3 of 13 shooting. The Hawks take the season series from the C's 4 games to nil. I have to say that as of right now, I am really not too excited for the C's and Lakers on Sunday. It is really hard to feel anything but numb for my team right now. I know that once Sunday morning rolls around that will probably change, but right now I am numb.

I hear ya on the numb feeling. Part of me contemplated not going (for all of 5 seconds). I think we've reached a point where the Celts must make some moves if they want to make it to the Finals. The bench is nonexistent. At this rate, the starters will be wore out come playoffs. Perk & Sheed have to realize their techs are contributing to the hurt also. I know both are passionate players and take everything to heart....
ReplyDeleteI want to try and get to the game early on Sunday. Hopefully get some video in and attempt to distract the Lakers...namely GAYSOL!
And you know I'll be there too..BEAT L.A.!
