The BenchMob...

Glen Davis, Marquis Daniels & the rest of the Celtics bench lead the Green to their 2nd straight preseason victory tonight in New Jersey, as they win 96-92. Davis was all over the place; scoring, rebounding, blocking shots & wreaking havoc. He finished with an impressive 20 points, 5 boards a block & 2 steals. Just as the Nets looked like they were going to send the game into OT, Marquis Daniels buried a corner 3 with 35.4 seconds left. That and some free-throw shooting sealed the victory. The C's started off looking a bit flat tonight, but hankered down on defense and got it done.

Paul Pierce played the best of all the starters, scoring 15 points in 17 minutes. Shaq put in 8 points in about 11 minutes of play to go with 5 rebounds in his 2nd game in green. Delonte West looked great off the bench also as he had a nice all-around night: 12 points, 3 assists, 6 boards and 2 of 3 from downtown. Nate also chipped in 14 points and 3 of 6 shooting from beyond the arc. He also hit some key foul shots in the final minute.

The Celts now come back home to Boston and have 2 days off before facing Toronto at the Garden on Sunday. Tip-off vs the Raptors will be at 6pm. Myself and Brandon from Ginos Jungle will be there, so check back here Sunday as well as his site for some pics and video...

  1. Who knew Marquis couls shoot the 3? He says he took 500-1000 everyday this summer, and judging from the release & result, I believe him.

Shaq got caught in some high pick/rolls last night, and didnt look good against Lopez, I'm convinced he'll be better with the 2nd unit.

have a great time Sunday KWAPT!
