Unreal.
That is the only way to describe this series, tonight's game, the play of numerous players on both teams. Unreal. A basketball fan's dream. The C's are up 2 in OT right now with 3.6 left after another heroic shot by The Truth. I have to get up at 5am for work, so to be continued tomorrow....

Exhausted..
Between the heat and this game, I'm exhausted. This is 2 weekends in a row that I've witnessed 2 incredible playoff games. Unfortunately, Bulls beat the Celts in double-OT, 121-118. Leading scorers for each team were the absolutely incredible Rajon Rondo for the Green with 25, 11 and 11 and the equally impressive DRose for the Bulls with 23, 11 and 9. Rose's team won, but I agree with Magic Johnson (of all people) in saying that Rondo is playing as well as any other PG in the playoffs right now. Each year, a player seems to emerge out of the NBA playoffs and/or Finals, and this year, without question, it's RR. More to come. Need to grab a quick power-nap before another dramatic game-Sox and Yankees at 8pm......

Sox, Tony Allen etc..
Celtics off again today. It's kind of ridiculous how the NBA has stretched these series out all in the name of revenue. Anyhow, nothing new going on in CelticsLand, just some misc. stories that you've probably already read involving T.A. Latest rumor I read about in today's Herald says the death threats are coming because he owes money and "refuses to pay...". Who knows. Last night I enjoyed a great baseball game as the Sox beat the Yankees 5-4 in dramatic fashion. Kevin Youkilis hit a walk-off homerun in the bottom of the 11th. I am considering turning this into a Red Sox blog in June when the Celtics season is over(yes, June). I attend a good amount of Sox games and also follow them pretty rabidly. Let me know your thoughts/opinions on that. Enjoy the great weather Celtics fans....

Good old fashioned ass-whooping..
The Celtics looked like the defense-minded 2007-2008 NBA Champions tonight. Paul Pierce broke out of any "funk" he may have been in and dropped 24 points to lead all scorers, but the defensive effort really made the difference tonight. The Celtics caused havoc by constantly pressuring the Bulls and getting many steals, tips and causing turnover after turnover. You know the Celtics are being aggressive when Rajon Rondo is called for a flagrant foul on Joakim Noah! The final was 107-86 Green. The Celtics also had an impressive 16 steals tonight and Brian Scalabrine returned to action-he played about 6 minutes, and hit the one shot he took...a 3-pointer. Game 4 takes place in Chicago this Sunday. Tip-off is at 1pm. Good to the see the champs looking like a tight unit again. Goodnite Celtics fans...

More Bill Walker...?
Mikki Moore said in an interview with Celtics.com today at practice that he expects to see more Bill Walker now that Leon is done for maybe "a year." Yeah, I know, Mikki isn't the coach, but it's pretty obvious Doc will have to play Walker now with our other power forward out of action. Since we have no C's action for another 36 hours or so, enjoy some of Walker's highlights...
One more time...
Here it is one more time in all it's glory. It's fun watching KG get all hyped-up too...

Jesus Saves..
An epic battle tonight at the Garden. Ray Allen and Ben Gordon, two UConn alums, went head-to-head tonight. Ray Allen and the Celtics won in the end, with Allen hitting a clutch 3 with about 2 seconds left in regulation. Allen finished with 30 points, Gordon with 42. This game was another see-saw battle with the lead changing hands constantly and things getting chippier and chippier. The Celts started the game with alot of energy and Rajon Rondo was on the attack early on. Rondo finished with an incredible stat line: 19 pts, 16 assists, 2 boards & 5 steals. A triple- double. Big Baby had another solid game, hitting alot of jumpers-he rang up 26 and Kendrick Perkins was all over the offensive glass with 7 offensive boards and 12 rebounds total to go along w/his 16 points. The C's outrebounded the Bulls tonight 50 to 36. This game will be remembered though for the gunslinging of Ben Gordon and Ray Allen. The series now moves to ChiTown for the next 2 games. Game 3 will be Thursday night, with an 8pm tip-off. This could be a 6 or 7 game series if these 2 teams keep going like this. If neither team finds an edge or a weakness in the other, it could be another year of the C's going to 7 games in the 1st round. Goodnite Celts fans....MAN I wish I would've gone tonight....!

Spent..
That's how I feel. I left it all at the Garden today. This game just sucked the life outta me. In case you're living under a rock, the Celtics fell to the Bull in overtime today, 105-103. Rookie of the Year candidate Derrick Rose was impressive in his first career playoff game dropping 36 on the C's. Paul Pierce had a chance to put the game away with about 1 second left in regulation, but he could only sink 1 of 2 free-throws. Ray Allen struggled, going 1 of 12 from the field for 4 points. The Bulls seemed more energized and the Celtics also made some costly turnovers, and the refs did not help matters either. Now the Celtics are in a situation where if they don't win Monday at home, they will go into Chicago mid-week down 2-0. But let's hope it doesn't come to that. Here's a clip of the Celtics pregame intros. Goodnite Celts fans....

KG getting things ready..
Not too much news today. Alot of talk however. I found alot of people talking about how the Celtics will do without KG at work today. Most fans I spoke to feel we can still get deep into the playoffs-I agree. Here is a great clip Adidas put together as part of it's "Brotherhood" campaign. Can't wait for tomorrow....

Black cloud..
Whew..what a day. On my way into work I find out KG is out for the playoffs.(not a big surprise)Then on my way out of work, I find out the Commander-In-Chief, (no not him) Danny Ainge, has a mild heart attack. Just a bummer of a day. As I mentioned, I knew that we weren't getting the whole story about KG's injury. Whenever the day he was going to "come back" would get close, Doc would make some announcement postponing it again. Oh well, we still have a damn good team. I think beating Cleveland w/out Ticket will be extremely tough, but I will not give up on these guys. They have battled adversity all year long and come out on top. I am very excited about Game 1 on Saturday. My sister has been nice enough to invite me. I hope to have some good pics/clips to post. Here are a few more pics my friend Corey took when we were at last night's Fan Appreciation night. Look closely and you'll see "Dancing Daylon"-the jumbotron phenom. Goodnite Celt's fans, and get well D.A...
And so it begins...
Will be a quick entry tonight as I am beat. Behind Eddie House's torrid shooting, the C's end the regular season with a win over the Wizards. That coupled with a Sixers win and Bulls loss means the C's will face the Bulls in round 1. Gametimes/schedules will be announced later today, but we do know Game 1 will be sometime this Saturday afternoon. How about those Bill Walker dunks tonight...?
On his way out of the Garden, I told him that those slams tonight were great. I also got to mingle a bit with Scal who seems to be doing great-hope to see him on the court soon. Here is a pic of Pierce addressing the crowd pre-game, and my postgame access pass that I saved like a little kid. So this is it C's fans-the REAL quest for Banner 18 begins Saturday.....

Playoffs..
Celts facing Sixers tonight in what very well could be a preview of the 1st round of the playoffs. The C's are w/out KG and Scal due to injuries and Ray Allen due to the L's 1-game suspension for his elbow on Chia Pet.(Varejao) The Celtics will open the playoffs this Saturday at the Garden, most likely will be a 12:30pm tip-off. I will be there and should have some pics/clips posted Saturday night. Celts up 39-37 right now with about 6 minutes left in the 1st half.

Did anyone get the license plate..?
Cavs ran over the Celtics today 107-76. I was expecting to see the Celtics final turnover tally above 20, but it was only 10. This was simply a case of the Cavs coming out fired-up and the Celtics barely awake. The C's seemed lazy, bored and just flat-out not into this one. Paul Pierce led the C's with 14 and Lebron James led the Cavs (and all scorers) with 29. Honestly, I was flipping back & forth between the Celts and Sox once this one got out of hand-which was in the 1st quarter. Next up, the C's face the Sixers on Tuesday night. Tip-off is @8pm due to it being a TNT game. Hopefully we will get some more news on both KG and Leon Powe after Monday and Tuesday's practice(s). Goodnite Celtics fans....
Dejected..
The Celtics are clearly not in sync today. Too many outside shots, shots that are flat, sloppy passes and the list goes on. They are down to the Cavs at the Quicken Loans Arena today 49-25 with about 1:50 left in the 1st half.

Celtics beat the Heat..
Behind the offense of Paul Pierce and Glen Davis and the defense of Perk and others, the Celtics beat the Miami Heat 105-98 tonight at the Garden. DWade, of course, led Miami with 31 points. Big Baby continued to step up in the absence of KG, scoring 22 points and pulling down 8 boards. P-Double led the Green with 28, and was 4 of 4 from the charity-stripe including some big free-throws in the 4th quarter. Kendrick Perkins admittedly struggled, telling me "Man, I started off 1 of 9 from the field..", but had 3 blocked shots, one of them a huge rejection on Jermaine O'Neal late in the game that go the crowd and the bench fired up. Next up, the Cavs in Cleveland on Sunday, Cleveland has lost only once this year at the "Q". Tip-off is at 3:30pm on Sunday. Here is a clip I filmed from my seat of Doc drawing up a play during a timeout in the 2nd half. Goodnite Celtics fans all over the world......

Hunt Auctions...
Hunt Auctions is sponsoring a very cool NBA auction on April 18th. Up for grabs to the highest bidder: a pair of playoff used, autographed Air Jordan 11's. This pair was actually worn by MJ himself in the playoffs during the late 90's. Also, the actual locker MJ used for a time while with the Bulls, 2 other autographed, game-used Jordans, an authentic Bob Cousy (you youngsters can Google him) warm-up jacket from the 1950's, a pair of Larry Bird's game-used Converse and much more. This is an NBA fan and sneakerhead's heaven. Check it all out at: www.huntauctions.com. Click on the "Basketball Auction" icon....

Rockin' Rondo..
Rondo dropped in 31 points,(1 shy of his career-high) grabbed 5 boards and dished out 9 assists tonight as the Celtics beat the Nets at home tonight 106-104. The Nets had a couple of chances to tie or take the lead in a wild final few seconds of the game, but couldn't convert. Tony Allen showed a flash of his old-self on a nice reverse dunk on a Ray Allen alley-oop. Eddie House continued his lights out shooting going 3 for 4 from 3 pt range. Brian Scalabrine joined the team on the bench tonight, but is not cleared for play yet. Vince Carter, who kept New Jersey in the game most of the night, led all scorers with 33. Next up for the Green, MVP candidate and NBA leading-scorer Dwayne Wade & the Miami Heat are in town Friday. I will be there and hope to get some good pics. Tip-off is at 7:30pm at the Garden. Goodnight Celtics fans....

Yoakustoms
Not alot going on today with the C's. I learned via YahooSports' NBA page that Rondo turned an ankle in practice today, but nothing serious according to Doc. Also, Doc was quoted as saying something to the extent that KG, Powe and Scalabrine would all be practicing sometime in the next couple of weeks. That would be great, but I'll believe it when I see it. At this point, I think we'd all be kidding ourselves if we think KG is going to be 100% by playoff time. It would be great to see him partake in the postseason, but it's going to take alot. This injury seems alot worse than the team is leading on to..But now on to better news. A short time ago, I learned of Yoakustoms-a custom sneaker artist who was work has been featured on numerous websites, SpikeTV and quite a few other places. After seeing some of the incredible work Yoa does, I contacted Yoa about making me a pair of custom kicks in homage to Paul Pierce. For those who don't know, P2's signature Nike kicks only come in kids' sizes. So Yoa bounced some sketches and ideas off of me, and the final product is a Nike Dunk high in kelly green and white. Now these pics were taken before the final touch-ups were done, but you will still be amazed. You can view more of Yoa's work at www.Yoakustoms.com, and can also get info there about how to get your own. Goodnite Celtics fans.....

Not on my watch..
Kendrick Perkins tied a career-high with 7 blocks last night as the C's trounced the Hawks 104-92 last night at the Garden. The Celts had 5 players in double-figures, including Paul Pierce who led all scorers with 21, Rondo who rung up 20 and Big Baby, who continued to play great ball with 19 points on 7 of 10 shooting. There was no love lost between these 2 teams as their were 4 techs called on various players from both teams. Things did get chippy on multiple occasions. The battered and bruised Celts now get a much needed 4 full days off until the next game. New Jersey comes to town on Wednesday, with a 7:30pm tip-off at the Garden...

Jesus Saves..
What a win tonight. Behind clutch shooting from Walter Ray and a key block from Perk, the Celtics pull out a double OT win at the Garden tonight vs the Bobcats. Allen finished with 22 points and P-Double led all scores with 32. The Celtics turned the ball over 24 times, but kept battling back and got a much needed win after this week's disappointing KG news. Next up, the Hawks on Friday night. Tip-off is at 7:30pm at the Garden. Goodnite Celtics fans.....

Finally..some good news
After missing the last 22 games, Tony Allen will give it a go tonight the C's announced today. This should also hopefully spell some rest for SugarRay and Paul Pierce for the next few weeks. Tip-off is @7:30pm tonight as the Bobcats come to town after knocking off the Lakers last night in Charlotte.
